Chrome Ore
Chrome ore is a natural mineral composed primarily of chromite, the key source of chromium. It is used mainly in the production of ferrochrome, an alloy essential for making stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant materials. Chrome ore also has applications in refractory materials, chemical production, and foundry sand due to its heat resistance and durability. Its industrial importance lies in its role in enhancing strength, corrosion resistance, and durability in various products. The main industrial applications are metallurgy, refractory and in dye and pigments.
Ferrochrome
Ferrochrome is a ferroalloy which includes iron and chromium. Depending on the application, ferrochrome contains between 50 - 70 % chromium.
